HUNGARY V SWITZERLAND
EURO 2024
KICK OFF: 14:00

SELECTION
BARNABAS VARGA TO SCORE ANYTIME @ 4/1: 1PT

Today’s group A matches, on paper at least, look like they will be low scoring, and could well be more tactical affairs, compared to last night’s hugely entertaining tournament opener. Switzerland have seen an U2.5 result in six of their last seven matches, whilst Hungary have kept a clean sheet in three of their last four. Hungary have the ingredients to come runner up in this group, and have been in solid form for some time now, and do look overpriced in the win market at just under 3/1. They will need to get something from this game to do so, which in turn will boost out pre tournament group straight forecast selection, where we have back Germany to top the group, and Hungary to finish second. Today’s game could well be a stalemate, so its a tough one to call in terms of goals and results.

With the U2.5 line marked up at around 1/2, the market is also suggesting a low scoring game. As such, there is good value in the markets that oppose that goals line, and one is in the goal scorer selections, where BARNABAS VARGA is priced up at 4/1 to score at anytime.

He is Hungary’s first choice striker, and is coming into this tournament in excellent form. He scored 20 goals in 24 appearances domestically for Ferencvaros last season, whilst in the Euro Qualifiers, scored seven goals in six matches. He has 29 goals to his name in 40 appearances combined last season, and that should give him momentum to trouble the scorer this tournament. He has played 11 times for Hungary, and has scored 6, and with the likes of the Dominik Szoboszlai and Roland Sallai behind him, has to look good value in the goal scorer market at 4/1 to score anytime this afternoon.

LA GALAXY V SPORTING KANSAS CITY
USA MLS
KICK OFF: 03:30

SELECTION
LA GALAXY WIN AND BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE @ 7/4: 2PTS

LA Galaxy have lost just one of their last seven MLS matches, whilst at home, have remained undefeated this season from seven matches, winning four and drawing three. These four wins have come in their last five matches on home soil, have the form to make this match five wins from six, particularly given their opponents form.

Sporting Kansas City have won just one of their last eleven MLS matches, which was their last home game against Seattle Sounders. Away from home, they are one of the worst travelling sides in the MLS, having returned just five points from eight road games. They are coming into this game off the back of five straight away defeats, and with just one away win to their name all season, have to be opposed, in what should be a classic case of home and away bias in this league.

Sporting Kansas, despite their poor form, do carry a goal threat, and have found the net in all but two of their seventeen MLS games so far this season, whilst also finding the net in six of their eight away matches. They have seen a BTTS result in six of their eight away games also, whilst overall, are the highest rated BTTS side in the MLS, having seen goals at both ends in fifteen of their seventeen matches.

LA Galaxy have seen a BTTS result in six of their seven home games this season, whilst overall, have seen goals at both ends in thirteen of their seventeen games, so their BTTS also makes this goals line a stand out play in this fixture. They have scored at over 2GPG at home this season, whilst conceding at over 1.5GPG, and with Sporting Kansas scoring at over 1GPG on their travels whilst conceding at over 1.50GPG, both sides form in terms of results and goals suggests this should be a home win with both sides failing to keep a clean sheet.
