A brilliant day to end the month and importantly put us back in front, around +15-20. The three shorties in our Trixie all winning for a 39/1 treble. Whilst its by no means ground breaking its always nice to get a multiple up. Thank you for all the messages and emails, well done!

Black Poppy was heavily punted and for a bit looked like being beaten until his stamina kicked in, he still looked a bit clueless too and wont go up too much for the win, more than capable of going in again. Orrisdale done what I expected, led at his own pace and put the race to bed down the back straight, beating the Nicholls horse who needs further. The one that was looking the easiest winner, Powerstown Park, gave us the biggest fright. At the 3rd last it looked as though he was going to win by the length of the straight, but he ploughed through the 2nd last and very nearly lost his rider. It was very much ‘squeaky bum time’ for the last furlong, but he got it done nicely in the end.

The only other tip on the day was The Domino Effect, who was a win only stake due to it being his debut. He didn’t threaten to win but I was happy with his faultless jumping and he looks capable of winning a race over a more galloping track.

It’s been a busy last 7 days which have included some nice wins, but its time for a break to recharge so there will be no tips for Tuesday… Hopefully, we will be back Wednesday, racing permitting
