Toro Strikes To See Out A Quiet Week On A High

It was a quiet week in terms of bets, as is always the case following a busy on at York. However after a slow start we ended it well with Toro Strike winning the big race on Sunday at Goodwood with ease. Settled in midfield off of a lightning pace he picked up just as hoped at the 2f pole on his favoured quick ground to put the race to bed in a matter of strides.

A 7f specialist his options are very limited, especially given his need for a quick surface. However, should the Arc meeting come up quick, then he’s certainly a horse for the Foret. A race we’ve won for the last few years with One Master.

Earlier in the week we posted on social media that we had backed the ‘best handicapped horse in sprinting’ and Cairn Island didn’t disappoint, with a very comfortable win at a nice price considering his form.

It has been a tough August, theres no denying that. But there have been signs in the last few days that the tide is turning and September, a month that has historically been massive for us, should be good!

Ayr’s Gold Cup Festival is just around the corner, and we have plenty of horses that have been lined up for the meeting. Don’t miss out!

Below are a few more horses for the trackers

AL RUFFA … Made his long awaited comeback since flopping in the Cambridgeshire. ut with the washing at the furlong pole he took off late on when the race was over but visibly restrained by Dettori to not get too close. That run would have put him spot on for another crack at the same race. The current 50/1 makes a fair bit of appeal.

IMRAHOR … Ran a huge race as our info at a big price in the week. It was felt he’d need the run and that was the case, but he wasn’t anything like a hard ride and he’s well handicapped on his homework.

KOOL MOE DEE … Got no luck in running from what turned out to be a horrible draw on the day. He’d previously been bang in form and theres no reason to think he wont run a big race next time out.

FINEST SOUND … A winner at Yarmouth on Sunday he wont be raised much for a short head victory. However he was value for a lot more than the margin and should have little problem defying a penalty..
